KERNERSVILLE, N.C. (August 7, 2018) — Four commercial tracts of land in the Stafford Centre Commercial Development in rapidly growing Kernersville are selling in an online auction, with Iron Horse Auction Company managing the event.
The location is midway between Greensboro and Winston-Salem. Bidding will begin August 14 and conclude on August 21.
“This is an ideal location with high visibility suited for a wide variety of uses – just 20 minutes from both Winston-Salem and Greensboro, and a short hop from Piedmont Triad International Airport,” said Will Lilly, of Iron Horse.
The tracts include:
- 3 acres at 129 Clayton Forest Road, zoned HB-S (Highway Business-Special). The tract has a current tax value of $324,800.
- 59 acres at 1480 Hampton Plaza Drive, zoned HB-S, with a current tax value of $996,000.
- 73 acres on Stafford Centre Drive, zoned HB-S, with a current tax value of $1,106,500.
- 33 acres at 1400 Hampton Plaza Drive, zoned LI-S, with a tax value of $118,000.
The tracts zoned HB-S would be suitable for a wide variety of uses, including a hotel, restaurant, office, bank branch or day care facility. “The 1.3-acre tract on Clayton Forest Road is already preapproved for use as a drive-through restaurant,” said Lilly.
Neighboring businesses include Hampton Inn, Wendy’s, Dairi-O, and City Electric Supply. Also nearby is the new Kernersville Health Care Center. “The proximity to the hospital would benefit many businesses permitted on these tracts, as those traveling to be with patients always require nearby lodging and food service,” said Lilly.
Iron Horse personnel will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. August 14 and August 21 to accommodate inspections and provide detailed information. Additional inspections can be arranged by appointment or at the buyer’s leisure.
Bidding will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 at www.ironhorseauction.com. Bidders will also have the option of visiting the live bidding center to at the Hampton Inn on Aug. 21 in the same development to have their bids entered by the auction staff.
