Interview with Brent Wellings
TULSA, Oklahoma (Sept. 24, 2015) — A common dream for many people is to own an estate that is near the city, yet large enough to enable them to keep a few horses and cattle. And the owners of Bird Creek Ranch, 10 miles north of Tulsa, are hoping to make that dream a reality for bidders as they prepare to auction their 440 acres of land.
“We’re offering this land – which is primarily rolling grassland with wooded areas – in tracts that are the perfect size for those seeking a rural lifestyle without really leaving the city,” said Brent Wellings, of Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company, which is managing the auction in cooperation with G7 Ranches.
The Oct. 27 auction will feature tracts ranging in size from 10 acres to 80 acres. The land is located in Sperry and Owasso, with property in both school districts.
“By offering the land in tracts of 10, 20 and 30 acres, we enable bidders to focus on just the land that meets their needs. People can bid on the tracts in a number of different combinations to have land for the estate they’ve always dreamed of building,” he said.
“This is the perfect type of land for keeping and grazing a few head, with numerous ponds and hardwood creek bottoms. Yet, it’s an easy commute for those who work in downtown Tulsa – or anywhere in the city, really,” said Wellings.
The auction will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Bailey Education Foundation Auditorium, Owasso. Schrader personnel will be available at the property on Sept. 29 and Oct. 13 to provide detailed information and facilitate inspections.
