Town & Country Ford acquires Pell City Ford Lincoln-Mercury
Bessemer, Ala. (Dec. 16, 2009) – Town & Country Ford has acquired Pell City Ford Lincoln-Mercury, according to Town & Country chief executive officer Steven D. Watts.
The acquisition was announced by Town & Country Ford's Board of Directors, including President William E. Sain Sr., Henry H. Tyler, Don W. Holmes, Billy Sain, and Kyle Sain.
“This acquisition provides several important strategic benefits to the ‘Town & Country’ brand. It provides a presence for Town & Country east of Birmingham and it gives us a Lincoln Mercury Dealership for the first time. Pell City Ford Lincoln Mercury has an excellent track record and strong customer base, and we are looking forward to expanding it,” said William E. “Bill” Sain, Sr.
The Pell City dealership will adopt the name Town & Country Ford Lincoln Mercury, LLC. The dealership in Bessemer and now Pell City will have the same philosophy toward value, selection and service that has always guided Town & Country Ford, and customers will be able to have their Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicles serviced at either location, noted Henry Tyler.
“Since we opened the doors in Bessemer in 1999 at Exit 108 on Interstate I-20, we have enjoyed incredible success with customers throughout Alabama. This makes it a bit easier for our customers and we welcome many new future customers. We feel very fortunate to be able to expand to Exit 158 on Interstate I-20, in Pell City in St. Clair County,” said Billy Sain.
“We are fortunate to be able to expand in a very positive way during a period when there is so much negative news about the overall American automobile industry and we look forward to more than doubling the number of jobs offered in Pell City and St. Clair County with this announcement,” said Kyle Sain.
